one shred, two shred

I assume you are aware of my shredding commitment issues.
My first attempt was to a AA deep V (obviously not finished yet). My second attempt being this Free People top. All of a sudden, two episodes of Seinfeld successfully entertained me and the shirt was finished. It's made of wool and cashmere instead of cotton. Translation : easy. to. shred.

Aurel Schmidt - arteest

Aurel Schmidt. She comes from just around the corner in Kamloops, BC. Her artwork is dark and intricate, I could look at the detailing forever. Not to mention, she's hot.

D D I Y

Apparently I don't do it myself. God forbid I actually complete a DIY project. Everything I get close to finishing either sits in my closet with safety pins and tape holding it together or it's half assed and never satisfying to wear. That's basically the story of these two DIY'S.

First, my pillow case and shoulder pad creation.
I found this old pillow case in my room, made of a great t-shirt material and also faded to perfection from sun bathing on the window sill of my room. I was just going to cut it into a tank, but I thought I'd try something different since it already had corners.

I'm not even going to show you my other DIY, its a shredded shirt. Yes, a shredded shirt (so last year). I started it 5 months ago in San Francisco and have finally had some real progress. I will share when it is fully finished, for once.

sweater fever

Finally received my latest eBay purchase in the mail today. An old school used bassike sweater and it was a massive steal. Sometimes things are just better second hand, less breaking in time and more wearing time.

summer mixer

I've been going through all of the photos saved to my desktop from the last month and I'm basically over all of them except this. I love that the title of this spread is exactly what it is, a serious blend of summer. And head wraps.

darren mcdonald

It's 1am on Tuesday night. I have now been on photographer Darren McDonald's blog for almost an hour, literally getting lost in his work. His official site is loaded on a separate tab but I'm scared it will keep me up for hours, so I don't think I'll even go there tonight. It takes a lot for photography to make an impact on me, probably because my mind is too spastic to let anything really soak in. But after looking through roughly 30 blog posts of his I seriously can't stop staring at his photographs. Not to get all deep and artsy on you, but there is something so amazing behind his photos and his models are the definition of perfect.

It is now 7:30pm on Wednesday. I have come home and started to scroll through the work on his official website. I am unable to share his stuff due to copyright but it's obviously even more wow than his blog. Go HERE, but make sure you allow at least 30mins of marinating time.
